Now that the final games have been played, it gives us an opportunity to review the season and put plans in place for next season.
The first team had a fantastic season and finished second in their league and hopefully this will mean promotion. As it sits today we are waiting on final confirmation from the league. Despite some difficult games and some difficult availability, the first team played some excellent Hockey and produced some impressive results.
The second team finished in a comfortable position in the league and it was pleasing to see a late flourish of Juniors making their first start for the 2nds towards the end of the season. The 2nd team was led by the impressive Sam Read who showed great leadership skills in his first season of Captain. The future is looking bright for our seconds.
The 3rd team wanted this season to be fun for the juniors in the team and to help develop their game skills. The team was led by the dynamic duo of Yuri M and Andy G. The season started brightly and continued right to the end with the 3rds competing at the top end of the league. The final league position is unknown and it depends upon an unplayed game against JPC. So will it be top or second? We await the league's decision.
Overall the season has been a success, possibly 2 promotions and as Meatloaf said “Two out of three aint bad”.
The AGM is penciled in for Thursday 9th May, so keep the date free. More details to follow
